This is the o-ring that fits into the inside grove at the tip of either the P30 (3000 PSI) or P36 (3600 PSI) fill receptacles. The o-ring seals the connection between the male fill receptacle on your vehicle and the female fuel station quick disconnect. If the o-ring is missing you will hear a lot of gas escaping at the connection during refueling. If the o-ring is cracked or worn you will hear some leaking out of the connection during refueling. Either way you will be unable to refill or receive only a partial fill.

Over time these o-rings wear due to use, age, damaged refueling equipment, UV exposure. Sometimes they just blow out and you never notice until the next time you try to refuel.

These o-rings meet or exceed OEM specs and are the correct material, dimension and durometer (hardness) for CNG refueling applications. This is important because the 3000+ plus PSI pressure will tear or stretch standard rubber o-rings with the improper durometer rating. Includes a one year warranty against breakage and or loss. If they break or fall out in one year I will send you replacements for free. Honda charges $8.00 plus tax for one o-ring with no warranty. I called Ford and they did not carry the o-ring but offered to sell me the entire fill receptacle for $1400.00.

Driving a CNG vehicle requires planning and preparation. If this o-ring breaks or is missing, you will be unable to refuel or will only receive a partial fill. This can leave you stranded if you are late for an appointment or counting miles to the next fuel station. I have a spare tire, and jumper cables. I also keep a spare o-ring in a bag taped inside the glove compartment of each of my CNG vehicles. Always be prepared.

The best way not to lose your o-ring is to make it a habbit to make sure it's there every time you disconnect. We own 4 CNG vehicles which we've had for years and haven't lost an o-ring yet.

Well I just happen to have bought 2 male receptacles. Yesterday my wife went to refuel our CNG van and it would not fill. Being a CNG newbee I did not even realize it had an Oring. Our's had fallen off lucky I had a few to replace the one that fell off. I will now make sure to check its still installed after each refueling but will have a spare in the glove box as I don't think I could train my wife to look after she fill's it.

$5.00 for 3 of them!?

You can get 100 of them off of McMaster Carr (www.mcmaster.com) for $7.00+shipping. Total is like $12.00. See link below:

If you own a Chevy, then you have to remove the o-ring to clean out the conical shaped filter and you ruin the o-ring just by taking it out. I have been using McMaster's o-rings for years now and have not had a problem.
