repainting 1998 Ford Contour bifuel

Does anyone have experience with repainting a CNG vehicle? I've decided to keep my 1998 Contour bifuel and it really needs repainting. Should I run the CNG tank out of gas before taking it to the shop? Turn off the emergency valve? Any suggestions?

The '08 HONDA Civic GX shop manual warns NOT to dry the paint in a shop drying oven, or whatever they are called. Apparently there is another drying method that is safer, but probably takes longer. I would be equally as cautious with the Ford Contour Bi-Fuel or similar vehicle, and for sure run it out of CNG and then close the manual valve, etc.
